June 18th & 19th, 2007   Chicago

Venue & Accommodations

UBS Tower Conference Center
One North Wacker Drive (Corner Wacker & Madison Street)
Chicago

Web Content 2007 will be held at the UBS Tower Conference Center conveniently located in the heart of downtown Chicago.  Located at the corner of Wacker and Madison – close to trains and multiple hotels.  This professional business venue includes broadband wireless internet access.

This June Conference occurs as the city breaks out into a summer long party of outdoor activities in locations near the Conference including River North, Rush St., Michigan Avenue and Millennium Park. Following are some suggestions for hotels, travel logistics and visitor information to get your planning started.

Hotel Options

Early summer is a great time to be in Chicago. We've provided some resources to help make your stay in town as enjoyable as the Conference. We encourage booking early for the greatest lodging options.

For accommodations close to the Conference Center consider the following:

Hotel Allegro (Designated Conference Hotel)
Its proximity to the Conference Center in UBS Tower and their moderate rates earns this hotel our designated conference hotel. It is a 2 block walk to UBS Tower. This Klimpton hotel has a decent restaurant downstairs. It is located in the city center/theater district. We understand the rooms are small, but the hotel is highly recommended.

Direction from airport

Hotel Monaco
225 North Wabash Avenue
If you want to be closer to Lake Michigan and the Magnificent Mile of Michigan Avenue, consider Hotel Monaco. About 10 blocks from UBS Tower and more east downtown/Michigan Avenue oriented but nice friendly hotel with a little bit of personality.

Directions from airport

Hyatt Regency Chicago
On Wacker and Michigan at the foot of the the Magnificent Mile and stone's throw from Millennium Park. Reasonable rate and on the lake.

Airport Transfers - Planes, Trains & Automobiles

There are multiple ways to go between Chicago airports and downtown Chicago.

The L

Elevated light rail trains, affectionately called "the L," service both O'hare and Midway airports. Without transferring, take the Orange Line between Midway & downtown or the Blue Line between O'Hare and downtown. Trains run frequently enough that knowing a schedule is not important. You may have a short walk or cab ride from your downtown drop point to your hotel.  More public transportation details can be found here.

Shuttles

Airport Shuttles run regularly direct to specific hotel stops.  Here is one shuttle resource.
